Divine Leading
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
According to the context of the above verse the Mark of Sonship is being "led by the Spirit of God". It is not just a benefit but be familiar with the evidence of being a child of God. It distinguishes believers from the rest of the world. We live according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Furthermore, the phrase in this verse “being led by the Spirit, indicates a continuous, habitual action rather than a one-time event. It describes a daily lifestyle of following the Spirit's direction.
Divine leading is not only a spiritual practice but an experience. It is a spiritual experience of being guided by the Spirit of God to make decisions, fulfil a purpose, or navigate life's challenges.
Divine leading is not just an experience but it is one with a purpose. This means it has an objective – to guide us to make Life’s decisions, Reveal the path to our destiny and peace.
Ways and means of Divine Leading include – visions, dreams, trance, worship, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and wise counsel.
The Bible is replete with examples of people who followed God’s leading and ended well. These include Abraham: Led to leave his homeland for a land he did not know (Genesis 12:1). Israelites: Guided through the wilderness by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Jesus: Explicitly stated He only did what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19) and was "led by the Spirit" into the wilderness.
Divine Leading encompasses the guidance of the Spirit of God, leading individuals step-by-step to fulfil destiny, find peace, achieve supernatural results, and avoid pitfalls.
Key requirements for accessing Divine Leading include: surrendering your life totally to God; humbling yourself to God; praying and fasting; obeying the Lord; and meditating on the Word of God.
As you chose to follow the leading of God you will experience peace, rest, protection and supernatural breakthroughs in Jesus name.
